Overview
You can change how users (fee earners) view KPIs in Access Legal Case Management (ALCM) by updating their Security Profile in DPSSQLConfig.
This allows you to:
Let fee earners see only their own KPIs
Prevent them from viewing other users’ or other groups’ KPIs
⚠️ Important
You must:
Be a DPS Supervisor, and
Have access to the hosted desktop
to make these changes in DPSSQLConfig.
Step 1 – Open DPSSQLConfig as a DPS Supervisor
Log in to your hosted desktop using your hosted credentials.
Open DPSSQLConfig from the hosted desktop.
Log in with a DPS Supervisor account.
Step 2 – Identify the Fee Earners’ Security Profile
In DPSSQLConfig, click Users and Groups.
In the menu that appears, click Users.
Find and double-click a fee earner.
In the user details window, note the Security Profile they are assigned (for example, Standard User).
Repeat for other fee earners if needed to confirm they share the same security profile.
Step 3 – Update the Security Profile KPI Permissions
Still in Users and Groups, click Security Profiles.
From the Security Profile Name drop-down, select the profile used by your fee earners (identified in Step 2).
In the list of permissions:
Tick:
Access UserKPI (allows the user to access KPI information)
Untick:
View All Users in Group
View All Groups
This configuration allows fee earners to see their own KPIs only, not all users’ or all groups’ KPIs.
Click Save to apply the changes to that security profile.
All users with that Security Profile will now have the updated KPI view permissions in ALCM.
If you need different KPI permissions for different roles (for example, supervisors vs fee earners), consider using separate Security Profiles and configuring them accordingly.
