Change the Default File History Folder

Learn how to change the default folder used when adding an item to file history in DPS using the Manage folders option.

⚠️ Important: You must be a DPS Supervisor to change the default folder setting.


Change the Default File History Folder

  1. When inside a matter, click the Options icon, then select Manage folders.

  2. Select the General checkbox (or whichever folder you'd like to be the default).

  3. Click Save and Close.


💡 Best Practices

  • Make this change while signed in with the correct DPS Supervisor account to ensure you can access the folder settings.

  • Review the folder settings before you click Save and Close to confirm the correct option is selected.
