What's changing
We are currently implementing updates to our case management solutions in response to changes published by the UK Government to the Criminal Legal Aid (Renumeration) Regulations 2013, which took effect December 22nd 2025. Due to the short notice and changing requirements, these updates are being delivered in phases to cover:
Police station fixed fees harmonised at £320 (excl VAT), escape threshold at £650
Magistrates' court fees uplifted by 10% (including Youth Court)
Prison law fees uplifted by 24%
Appeals work fees uplifted by 10%
Implementation timeline
Access OneOffice – completed December 18th, 2024
Access Legal Case Management – scheduled for January 15th, 2026
Access Legal Case Management's updates are taking place in mid-January due to additional amendments being required and associated updates to Legal Aid in this system.
Action required before January 15th
For clients utilising both OneOffice and ALCM: We recommend recording your time into OneOffice to ensure correct fee calculations.
For users solely using ALCM: Please note that time recorded between December 22nd and January 15th will need to be re-entered after the update so that the rates re-calculate correctly.
