Overview
If you edit a document from the workflow of a matter but your changes donāt appear to save, it is usually caused by:
The document not fully loading before you start editing or saving
Browser cache/cookie issues in Chrome or Edge
Follow the steps below in order.
Save Changes Correctly from the Workflow
When opening a document from the workflow, follow this sequence every time:
In Access Legal Case Management, click the workflow item for the document.
Wait for the document to fully load.
ā ļø Do not click Save in Case Management before the document opens.
Add or edit the information you need inside the document.
Close the document (for example, by closing the Word window).
Back in Access Legal Case Management, click the green Save button.
Your changes should now be saved back to the file history/workflow.
If the changes still arenāt saving, follow the browser-specific steps below.
Browser Checks ā Google Chrome
Test a different browser
Try Microsoft Edge.
If the problem does not occur in Edge and only happens in Chrome, continue with the steps below.
Open Chrome.
Click the three dots in the top-right corner.
Click Settings.
Search for or open Clear browsing data.
Set Time range to All time.
Select Cached images and files (and other relevant options if appropriate).
Click Clear data.
Make sure Chrome is up to date
In Settings, click About Chrome (bottom left).
Chrome will check for updates and install them.
Relaunch Chrome if prompted.
Allow all cookies
In Settings, click Privacy and security.
Click Cookies and other site data.
Select Allow all cookies.
Test saving the document again from the workflow.
Browser Checks ā Microsoft Edge
Test a different browser
Try Google Chrome.
If the problem does not occur in Chrome and only happens in Edge, continue with the steps below.
Open Edge.
Click the three dots in the top-right corner.
Click Settings.
Go to Privacy, search, and services.
Under Clear browsing data, click Choose what to clear.
Set Time range to All time.
Select Cached images and files (and other relevant options if appropriate).
Click Clear now.
Make sure Edge is up to date
In Settings, click About Microsoft Edge (bottom left).
Edge will check for updates and install any available updates.
Restart Edge if prompted.
Allow third-party cookies
Click the three dots in the top-right corner.
Click Settings.
Click Cookies and site permissions.
Click Manage and delete cookies and site data.
Make sure Block third-party cookies is unticked.
Test saving the document again from the workflow.
