Overview
Before a user can access Legal Bricks from Access Legal Case Management, they must be:
Created as a Legal Bricks user, and
Set up with the correct API credentials in DPSSQLConfig.
This article explains:
What needs to be done before configuration.
How a supervisor can set up the user credentials for Legal Bricks in DPSSQLConfig.
⚠️ Permissions & Access
You must be a supervisor and have access to the hosted desktop to complete the setup in DPSSQLConfig.
If you do not have either, please raise a new case online for Access Legal Case Management support and reference the title of this article.
Before You Start – Request a Legal Bricks User
Make sure the user already exists in Access Legal Case Management (as a standard DPS user).
To create their Legal Bricks account, raise a new case online for Legal Bricks new user creation.
The request will be processed and you will receive:
The user’s password (API key).
The user’s authorisation key (Auth Key – another API key).
You will need both of these, along with the user’s details, to complete the setup steps below.
Set Up a User for Legal Bricks Integration
Once you have the user’s Legal Bricks credentials, follow these steps.
1. Open DPSSQLConfig
Log in to the hosted desktop.
Open DPSSQLConfig.
Log in using your supervisor credentials.
2. Open Web Accounts – Online Search
In the top-left pane, click Web Accounts.
Select Online Search.
A window will open showing a User Credentials table at the bottom.
3. Add the User’s Legal Bricks Credentials
Scroll to the bottom of the User Credentials table and enter the user’s details in a new row:
User
The user’s login name for Access Legal Case Management.
This can be found in Users and Groups in the bottom-left pane of DPSSQLConfig.
Provider
Select LegalBricks from the drop-down list (this will be the only option).
User Name
The email address used when the user’s Legal Bricks account was created.
Password
The API key provided by Legal Bricks upon user creation.
Auth Key
The second API key (authorisation key) provided by Legal Bricks upon user creation.
4. Save Your Changes
Click Save.
Close DPSSQLConfig.
The user is now set up to use the Legal Bricks integration from Access Legal Case Management.
