Turn off the conflict search or make it mandatory

Overview

You can choose whether matter and client conflict searches are mandatory before creating or working on records. This is controlled by two global settings in DPSSQLConfig.

⚠️ Important

  • This is a global change – it applies to all users and cannot be limited to specific applications.

  • Only a supervisor or manager who can log in to DPSSQLConfig can make this change.


Change Mandatory Conflict Search Settings

  1. Log in to the DPSSQLConfig application using a supervisor/manager account.

  2. In the left-hand panel, go to the Company section.

  3. Click Client Default/System settings.

  4. Under the conflict search options, tick or untick as required:

    • Force matter conflict search

    • Force client conflict search

    • Tick = conflict search is mandatory.

    • Untick = conflict search is optional.

  5. In the bottom-right corner, click Apply to save your changes.

The new settings take effect globally for all users.
