My Legal Space is to be used as a secure means of having contact with a client or contact without having to send emails or print and send letters. All correspondence will be attached to the case files automatically.
As a Fee Earner
My Legal Space will allow you to securely chat, and send documents to a client or any contact. Documents can then be reviewed and amended by the recipients. Important milestones of a matter can also be viewed here.
As a client
Once you as a Fee Earner have completed the task of sharing via My Legal Space through Access Legal
Case Management to your client, will receive an email from My Legal Space. First-time use and then continued use of My Legal Space will trigger an email notification each time.
The client receives two emails the first time My Legal Space is used:
The first email (a Welcome email) will explain that they have been registered for MLS.
The second email will inform them of their username and temporary password.
The end user is then able to login to My Legal Space.
Note: Fee Earners will not actually be logging into My Legal Space. This is the on-line portal that the client(s) of the Fee Earner will use. Fee Earners will use Access Legal Case Management only, when sharing documents.
