View and manage client search

This course includes understanding where the matter and client screens can be found, successfully locate existing client and matter records and effectively open matters from the search results.

Searching for Existing Clients

  1. Navigate to the client area of the system.

  2. On the left hand side, select Client.

  3. Search the name of the relevant client using the search box on the right hand side.

Note: The client screen will be blank by default until a search has been done.

To further filter results, use the arrows next to the filter icons to narrow your search.

  1. Once the relevant client has been found, select the drop down arrow on the left hand side of the client search.

  2. This will show all matters involving the client.

Matter Options

  • Open case - When selected this will open the matter.

  • Record time - Allows the user to record time against the matter.

  • New Mail - When selected will open a new email screen that when sent will automatically link the email to the matter selected.

  • Ledger Card - Allows the user to view an overview of the accounting information.

  • eChit - Can be used to produce an eChit against this matter.

  • Matter - Will allow you to view the matter details screen.
