Create new Opportunities

Create a New Opportunity

  1. From the left-hand navigation bar, click Opportunities.

  2. In the new window, make sure you are on the New Opportunities tab.


Search for an Existing Client

  1. In the Last Name field, enter the client’s last name.

  2. In the First Name field, enter the client’s first name.

  3. Click the spyglass button in the Last Name field to search for existing clients.

  4. Do one of the following:

    • If a client with that name already exists, the fields will be auto populated, and you can continue using the existing details.

    • If no matching client is found, continue to fill out the remaining fields to create a new entry.

  5. Once all other required fields are completed, choose one of the following options:

    • Save and Quote

    • Save and Send

The sections below explain what each option does.


Use Save and Quote

Use Save and Quote when you want to create the opportunity, run a conflict search, and immediately generate and send a property quote to the client.

  1. After completing the client and opportunity details, click Save and Quote.

  2. In the opportunity window, run a conflict search by clicking the magnifying glass icon in the bottom-left corner.

  3. When the conflict search results are shown, click Save (to the right of the conflict search) to save the conflict search.

  4. When the pop-up confirms the conflict search has been saved, click OK.

  5. A Property Quote window will open.

  6. In the Property Quote window:

    • Select the required quote type.

    • Enter the quote details as required.

  7. When all details are complete, click Send Quote.

  8. An email window opens with:

    • The client’s email address populated.

    • The quote details attached.

  9. Review the email, then click Send.

    • You will have the option to attach this email to a matter when you click Send.

  10. After the email is sent, you will see a pop-up confirming that the quote was generated and sent.

The opportunity and associated quote are now recorded, and the client has received the quote by email.


Use Save and Send

Use Save and Send when you want to create and save the opportunity, run a conflict search, and send the details to the fee earner rather than directly to the client.

  1. After completing the client and opportunity details, click Save and Send.

  2. Run the conflict search in the same way as with Save and Quote:

    • Click the magnifying glass to run the conflict search.

    • When prompted, click Save Conflict Search to save it.

  3. Instead of generating a new quote for the client, the system will:

    • Create a new email.

    • Attach the opportunity details to that email.

    • Address the email to the Fee Earner that was associated when the opportunity was created.

  4. Review the email, then click Send.

Once the email has been sent to the Fee Earner:

  • The opportunity will be moved to the Saved Opportunities tab.

  • The Fee Earner can review and follow up as appropriate.
